Brisa – Quinceañera Portraits
Earlier this year I was asked to do my first Quinceañera portrait session for Brisa. I spent months researching and planning with Brisa and her the family. She was keeping her dress a secret until the day of her party. So I knew nothing about what her dress looked like until the day of the photoshoot. The location that we chose for her portrait session was Graylyn Estate in Winston Salem. It was an absolute DREAM for her session! She was looking like a modern day Cinderella in her portraits at this lovely estate, with each photograph being more beautiful than the last. Brisa and I had so much fun…

Piper – Senior Year
Over the last few years, I’ve been so lucky to be able to be there with you as you complete your high school years. Watching you grow and mature into a beautiful, strong, resilient young lady. In a week she will begin her journey at East Carolina University. She plans to major in Speech and Hearing Sciences with a minor in Psychology. Afterwards, she hopes to attend a graduate program where she can become an Audiologist. This journey all began with Piper losing her hearing in the spring of 2021. She went through a year and a half of doctors and tests before she was able to get hearing aids.…

Such a huge accomplishment! We had a great time walking around campus and capturing photos at all of the locations around campus that were special to him. Good Luck Meekhel in your future endeavors. Wishing you all the best!

SGMS Baseball Conference at HP Rockers Stadium
The Knights from Southern Guilford Middle took on Allen Jay Prep All-Stars in a conference game held at the High Point Rockers Stadium. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity for many of these kids to play at a local minor league field. The game remained without a score on either side until the 4th inning when Aaron Miller scored for the Knights. By the end of the 4th inning Allen Jay had scored 2 runs, bringing the score to 1-2. The game finished at the end of the 5th inning with Southern losing to Allen Jay 1-3. Overall these boys played an amazing game and making some tremendous…

Kalei – Graduation Photos
If you focus on what you left behind, you will never be able to see what lies ahead. Now go up and look around! – Gusteau from Ratatouille Taking the next steps in life are always hard and stressful. You’ll always wonder if you’ve made the right decisions. But the best parts of growing up and starting your own path is seeing where it takes you. The wonders and joys of life that you’ll get to enjoy with new friends along the way. Along the way you may find that things didn’t go as you intend. And that’s ok. The greatest about growing, is learning from our decisions. What defines…

Keri – 2021 Senior Prom
After a tough year of watching our Seniors get to miss out on so many last events, robbing them of cherished memories that so many of us get to experience – it was a blessing to see so many parents pull together and put on proms for the local kids to ensure that they have this one last experience. Getting the opportunity to take Keri’s senior prom photos was a blessing. She was simply stunning in her short prom dress.

Kalei – Senior Year
It’s been a year of laughter, tears and memories. My oldest daughter, Kalei was a senior this year. So we spent the year creating memories through photos. We had so much fun finding some of our favorite places. In two weeks, she’ll graduate from Southern Guilford HS (with honors) in Greensboro. And in just about 2 months, she’ll leave us for the University of Alabama, where she’ll be majoring in Geology with a minor in Evolutionary Studies. Her dreams of becoming a Paleontologist are just within reach. Despite all the craziness with this year, remote learning during the Covid pandemic, I wouldn’t have traded this for anything. It’s been one…

Emily – 2021 Senior Prom
We lived in Burlington, NC for many years. And that’s where my oldest Kalei and Emily became best friends. I’ve been blessed to know Emily since she was in elementary school, where both she and Kalei attended the same school and went to Western Alamance together. We have since moved away but I consider myself lucky to get to photograph her beautiful senior prom session. Her prom dress was a gorgeous shade of purple that complimented her eyes wonderfully. These images just turned out stunning!!

Destination Senior Session to Charleston
My senior model, Taylor, came to be with her dream to have a destination senior session in Charleston, SC. We made it happen. We spent a day traveling around capturing amazing photos around the incredibly lovely Charleston. We visited the College of Charleston, which will immediately transport you back to the old Southern lifestyle. The campus is filled with large oak trees overflowing with Spanish moss. It was breathtaking! Charleston is a city that will surround you with history and Rainbow Row is no exception. If you have never been to Rainbow Row, it’s a row of beautiful, colorful houses that line Bay Street. These houses were built pre-Revolutionary War.…

2017 Senior Destination Shoot to Wilmington NC
I’m so lucky this year to have an amazing group of girls that are apart of my Senior Model Crew. For our first shoot together I decided to take them to Wilmington NC. We spent the day walking around Wilmington and visiting some of it’s more well-known sites and captured some amazing portraits. I treated each of my girls to a professional hair and make up artist from Silverceiling. Maria was amazing. She transformed each girl throughout the day, perfecting each look and made sure that they looked fantastic for their portraits. The first half of our day was in historic downtown Wilmington and the Riverwalk. This area was incredibly…
